on #2 seed East St. Louis (Sr.) (11-1) at 12:00. |
2008/2009
year is proving to be a great year for the Glenbard
West Boosters. As  the
Boosters have participated in or cheered on the many
successes of our students, we also
need to reflect on the successes that this year has
brought our fundraising and community participation
efforts: a
very successful golf outing in late September, a
memorable homecoming, pancake breakfast and lots of
successes with football programs and chaperoning the
homecoming dance.
These are just a few of the opportunities our
booster members have enjoyed this year. |

Pack the Place
- January 24, 2009 - Enjoy a great dinner while watching our athletes, band, cheerleaders and dance squads.
Our girls and boys basketball team take on Oak
Park River Forest in Biester, so come out and
cheer on the Hilltoppers.
GW Parent Dinner
Dance - January 10, 2009 - Dance, dine, and enjoy an evening with friends
at the boosters biggest fund-raiser of the
year. This year, the event moves to the newly
renovated Crowne
Plaza on the corner of Roosevelt & Finley
roads.
Senior Showcase Fashion Show
- March 1, 2009
- The senior strut their stuff in local clothiers latest fashions
- don't miss it. |
In
the past nine years, the Boosters have raised over
$900,000 for academic, athletics and co-curricular
programs.
Last year was another successful fund-raising
year, and thanks to the on-going generosity of
families and merchants in the GW community,
the
Boosters raised over
$140,000.
These funds were disbursed to support a wide
array of academic, athletic, and co-curricular
programs at Glenbard West, and our financial grants
touch nearly every student in a positive way.
Last year, the Glenbard West Boosters funded
a high-ropes course that will be used by the
physical education department and will touch every
student at Glenbard West!

Our
membership continues throughout the entire year.
We would like to encourage EVERY Glenbard
West family as well as alumni and community members
to join the Boosters.
Besides gaining free admission to most GW
home basketball games and music events, joining the
GW Boosters will enable you to get more directly
involved in your children’s activities and our
Glenbard West High School Community.
