Boosters need the
help of our alumni community to continue to make
West such a great place to go to high school. For
the past five years, in addition to the numerous
academic, athletic and co-curricular projects we support, Boosters has funded one large project. This
past year we helped establish a world language lab
to significantly enhance our student's
conversational skills in a foreign language.
Our big project for
2010 is the funding of synthetic turf at Memorial
Field. This project will increase on-campus athletic
and physical education opportunities for all
students. Our students are involved in twice as many
athletic programs now compared to only two decades
ago and field space is extremely limited. Boosters
made a $50,000 contribution to this project and a
sub-committee of Boosters raised over $325,000.
Class Reunion Chairs - Start Your Planning!
The 2010 Homecoming football game will be October 2 versus Addison
Trail, with activities planned for the entire
weekend. Tentatively, the Alumn/Boosters golf
outing is scheduled for Friday, October 1st. It's a shotgun start with a scramble format...big fun and lots of prizes.
On Saturday morning before the game, there will be tours of the
school and Boosters will host a pancake breakfast in the cafeteria.

their 50th Reunion this year.

Alumni Challenge!
2010's alumni goal
is truly challenging, especially given the economy.
In times like these we need to lean on alumni more
than ever. Simply put, we need to raise $10,000 from
our alumni community this year; a record amount. To
add a little competition to this effort, we have
created the ALUMNI
CHALLENGE! We will track donations
this year by graduating class, and post the winner
over Homecoming Weekend on the website. 
The Alumni
Challenge has been a great success, with $5,290
raised so far. Listed are the preliminary
results by class. It's not too late for you to
make a difference in the challenge by making a
